Can I order bulk for corporate or wedding gifts?
Yes! I would love to create you beautiful artisan designed pottery. There is so much freedom in creating pieces ranging from incorporating logos through to bride and groom personalisations. Please reach out via my contact page and I will be happy to provide you a quote.
What courier do you use for deliveries?
I use NZ Couriers and Aramex Couriers (Parcelconnect).
Do You Offer Wholesale?
Yes! Forge Ceramics stocks selected cafes and stores across New Zealand. Please complete our Stockist Enquiry form (on our contact page) and we'll be in touch very soon!
I haven’t received a dispatch email/email confirmation?
Please be aware an automated email is sent to you to the given email address when your order is dispatched. Please check all folders including you junk as it will come from a noreply email address. To ensure emails reach you, add pottery@forgeceramics.com to your safe senders list.
How often do you restock your website?
I restock the Online Store every time I unload our kiln which is at least once a week. I do my best to keep all of my unique, handmade designs in stock. Be sure to check in with any of my stockists for pieces. Alternatively, sign up to our newsletter to get all the latest launches and restock notifications straight into your inbox or keep an eye on our @forge_ceramics insta for updates.
Can I collect from your studio?
I am currently in the process of moving to a new location so the studio is currenlty not open to public. Fortunately this is only a short term inconvenience and I will keep you informed when the new space is ready for visitors.
Do you deliver on Weekend?
No, our courier company do not offer the service to deliver on weekends.
Are your pieces food, microwave and dishwasher safe?
Yes, all of my tableware pieces are glazed with foodsafe glazes that are both microwave and dishwasher safe. I do however recommend washing my products by hand to increase the longevity of your piece.
Can I track my item?
Yes. You will be sent a dispatch confirmation email as soon as your order has been processed. This email will also contain your tracking number. We also ask for a mobile number so our courier can inform you of the status of your order.
Will my ceramics look exactly like my order?
As a handmade, artisan product, every Forge Ceramics piece I make is unique. There are all kinds of things in the process of making pottery that will cause variations in the resulting “look” of the glaze. This can be anything from the texture on the surface of the clay when the cup is made, to the humidity in the air when the glaze was applied or to the position of the piece in the kiln. These variations are what make your new ceramics truly unique and extraordinarily beautiful. For any commission orders I will photograph your piece before sending to ensure you are happy before shipping.
Is your tableware suitable for commercial use?
Pieces are high-fired to 1260°C - vitrified stoneware. This means they are designed for commercial use and can withstand high temperatures and fluctuations from zero to 100°C or more. They are durable and suitable for any temperature and transportation, however if you drop your ceramics they will break. If your product gets knocked against a hard surface it will crack. You can read our tips on caring for your products above. We check and test all of our products before they are packaged and sent and can guarantee that no products leave our studio with hairline cracks or faults.
Who pays for return postage?
Should you be returning a faulty item for a refund I will refund both the original shipping costs and the return delivery costs.
What if my order arrives broken?
We do our best to package your handmade ceramics very safely but sometimes accidents happen. Don’t worry, we will replace all Forge Ceramics products that have been damaged in transit. You will receive instructions in your order on how to claim an item that had been broken in transit. For more info read our Return Policy.
How do I apply a promotional code?
You can add a valid promotion code in the Basket.
When will my card be charged for my order?
Due to the nature of our payments system, the full cost of the order will be charged to the card as soon as it is placed.
